Established in 2011. Running 5 Community Life Choices & Day Services across South Leicestershire
Activities
D&H offer a wide range of activities ranging from pottery to sports sessions. We work in a person centred way to make sure we are full filling the needs of the individuals and will always strive to find new and exciting activities. This is done through regular reviews and customer meetings.
Social Enterprise
We have recently set up our own social enterprise called the ‘Woodcraft and Gardening Enterprise Scheme’. This is a business that is run by our customers and promotes independence, working as part of a team, knowledge to grow and sustain produce and working alongside our local community. The aim is for the individual to feel empowered to take the lead to help grow the business.
Working in a Person Centred Way
At D&H we strive to achieve what each individual wants. This is done by annual reviews, customer meetings and 1-1 sessions. We will always try to full fill each person’s wants, hopes and dreams to the best of our ability.
Partnerships
Over the years we have created some strong links with local partners. These links have gave our customers some great opportunities and we are very thankful to them for this. We currently work alongside Go Learn, WEA, LCFC Community Trust, Fareshare, Hinckley Rugby Club and The Local Rock to name a few.
